HAPS-com is a Danish deep-tech startup developing communication infrastructure specifically designed for stratospheric operations. Their work addresses a gap in the market for operators of High-Altitude Platform Systems (HAPS), including the aircraft, balloons and other platforms that operate in the stratosphere, typically between 20 and 50 kilometres above the Earth's surface.
Their long-term vision is to build a sovereign European communication network connecting airborne and space-based platforms across Europe, infrastructure that is European-owned and specifically designed for the operational realities of stratospheric flight, without dependence on non-European systems.
